SoftPlan software was created to make drawing plans on the computer simple and accurate.
SoftPlan is object oriented, meaning you create the house out of pieces from a virtual lumberyard. For instance, when you draw a wall, it contains studs, insulation, sheathing, drywall--all customizable to your specifications.
This object orientation means SoftPlan can automatically generate accurate elevations, cross-sections, and 3D Renderings, and Material Lists from the floorplans.
And at its simplest, SoftPlan is a pencil, so you can draw anything that isn't already in the program. If it's something not specific to a single job, you can save it and use it again!
SoftPlan is based on builder terminology, not CAD jargon, making it easier for builders to use.
